Snickers Fudge Bite

September 23

-organic cinnamon cereal (a lot like cinnamon toast crunch) with almond milk

-large soy cafe au lait
-2 bites of a chocolate crossiant

Tried a new (to me) coffee place, Saxby's. Only because I neeeeeeeded my coffee (ugh am I becoming one of those people? Gross. I love me some espresso and coffee probably MORE than the next guy, but I never wanted to be a coffee dependent! Dammit) and it was across the street from my Dad's dermatologist. I told him I'd go with him there if he'd buy me my Starbucks. Sounds fair, yes? We didn't get to go to the gym and we left the house an hour+ earlier than usual. So really, I still kind of got gipped. But whatever. Anyway, I noticed this coffee joint was closer, so alas I tried it. Meh. It was alright, but I like my 'Bux better. And the crossiant sucked. Too dry. I was gonna give the rest to my brother, but I lost it. AKA the dogs probably found it. How do they keep opening up my work backpack??? I guess the real question should be why do I keep leaving food in my backpack knowing they somehow open it, but I digress.

For lunch I wanted a bigass bowl of veggies, preferably raw. So, you know, a salad.

-side salad w/ ranch (luby's build your own salads are crazy delicious)
-part of a bowl of veggie soup
-iced tea

Last time I got soup and salad there the salad was HUGE, this time they just gave me a side salad. Ho-Hum. But I think last time it was more expensive and this was more than filling anyway, so why am I complaining again? In fact, I took half of it back to the office with me. But then I ate it again like 20 minutes later.

Oh yeah and last time they gave me a cup of soup and this time a bowl. Weird. I prefered it the first way, but I think last time instead of giving me the soup & salad combo (that I asked for...) they just charged separate (read: more). But this is boring, so I'll stop. Just thinking aloud. Err, via typing. OK, stopping. Now.

-the last of the (first bag of) veggie straws (don't worry, I have a second bag waiting)
-a mocha hawaiian cookie my friend sent me from hawaii last year (soooooooo good. I should prob eat these more, but they're small and like 90 cals each)

-leftover fish from yesterday + more pesto + garlic gold nuggets
-slice of sourdough bread w/ a quick garlic sauce (vegan butter, basil, oregano, & garlic paste melted and mixed together w/ garlic gold nuggets on top)
-water

-a bite of a snickers fudge bar (why did I give my brother the second one? I doubt they even make these anymore, but holy good)
-mini almond dream ice cream sandwich (too small to be 100 cals imo, but very, very good)

Just one of those annoying days where all you want to do is eat sugar!sugar!sugar! I think I controlled myself fairly well in comparison to how much sugar I wanted to ingest lol (I did have a few BiteLickTastes that are unrecorded, but not many), but still sucks!

I also had a small handful of veggie chips (like the straws, but chip-form) dipped in whipped cream cheese. I couldn't make this up. I don't even think I was hungry, I don't know what the deal was. But it was actually very good.

So You Think You Can Dance, Dance, Dance

September 22

-half of a clif granola bar

Very good flavor, but crazy messy. Not a good on-the-go food.

-venti soy misto
-egg mcmuffin
-half of a strawberry banana smoothie

My Dad said he brought an extra Burger King egg mcmuffin wanna-be to work that I could have (he went to work briefly before me this morning). As soon as I got to work I turned right back around to pick up McDonalds. An egg mcmuffin does NOT have sausage. Sick. And the egg patty was scrambled. No thanks. How does my Dad not remember I HATE HATE sausage? Once I had it for dinner at a German restaurant and I threw up for 2 weeks straight. True story. OK, not straight, but every day, multiple times a day, for 2 weeks. Ugh.

Turns out, I'm now over Mickey D's authentic egg mcmuffins too. After making healthy mock versions nearly every day, the McDonalds ones taste artificial. And that smoothie? Well, the fact that I gave half away says it all. It too was too artificial tasting. Clean Eating FTW. Not that I've been eating so perfectly lately. I have got to stop going out to eat so much. It's hurting my stomach.

-the other half of the granola bar

-baked fish (forget what kind, rockfish, maybe?) with pesto & mushroom marinara over pasta with roasted tomatoes

Before I went out for the nite I busted into a few packages...

Meet the newest additions to my Louboutin family of lovers:

SUH-WOON, much? They might be my faves yet. See, there are perks to being inappropriately too old to live at home for no reason other than you actually like still living with your fam. Disposable income can go towards both ridiculously overpriced (beautiful, beautiful) shoes AND a savings account too. See, I have SOME priorities.

One shoe fits to perfection, the other is slightly tight. Ugh. Hoping a little stretch can be in order.

And now for hint two of my Halloween costume.

The coloring is slightly off (stupid ebay), but whatever. Come on guys, even ONE guess. Can I get someone to bite this time? Anyone, anyone, Bueller? :-P

After a very brief hair dress up sesh, I went to see So You Think You Can Dance on tour. It was great except for the annoying LOUD girls in front of us. They were even loud during the slow numbers. Rude. And when someone shushed them they just got more obnoxious.

Also, this large family had tickets next to us too, but they told us to move down one. That in and of itself is perfectly fine, no biggie, but just FYI, we were in our right seats in the first place. And they were kinda rude about it. Well, not rude, but acted like we sat in the wrong seats when we didn't. Whatever. After a little confusion we moved allll of our stuff (including half-full drinks and an open food container aka it was a bit of a hassle) to our new seats only to have the family move to another row not even 15 minutes later. HMPH!

Pre-Show Venue Noshing...

-slice of supreme pizza (took all the meat off, they didn't have plain veggie grr)
-red bull & vodka (sooo good)
-double champagne (lol never had the option for a double champs before)
-a few nachos (soggggggggy)

I almost got a sugar free red bull on the way to the venue, but couldn't go through with pumping myself full of aspartame water. Not that the real stuff is probably much better, but...it's better. And when combined with booze? Such a good combo. Doesn't even taste like alcohol. Kinda dangerous if you drink more than one. But in this case I stuck to the uno, and it helped me stay awake and pumped for the show.

Great nite!

Frozen Yogurt Heaven

September 21

Workout:

-33 minutes crossramp

-egg white puff with kraft single on slice of sourdough with grey poupon
-organic green tea with lemon juice

Went to work for a couple hours and then left to watch Kendyll yet again. It was the last time I'd be able to for the week, so once again I got the best of both worlds :).

-venti iced americano with a splash of soy + cinnamon

-pei wei ginger broccoli tofu & shrimp with brown rice

Supes good. I never thought to order shrimp at pei wei before, but my cousin wanted some, so I asked if they'd do tofu (my faaaaaave there) and shrimp and they did. What a combo. YUM.

Silly Girl Alert:

LOL.

-frozen yogurt with fruit (taro & original flavors)

(Thanks to my friend Dana) I love taro!

I grabbed jack fruit thinking it was mango. It's really good too! And they had lychees! The actual yogurt was only so-so, but I'm impressed by the selection.

It was Kendyll's first fro-yo, I think. She LOVED it. Hers was original yogurt with oreos.

Ohhh yeah that's the stuff, Manda!

Yeaaah, I think she liked it just a little. High chair time :-P

MMM, MMM Good.

TV time:

Aaaand sugar crash. Or, just regular nap time. Whatever.

Hours & Hours later:

-homemade popcorn with coconut oil spray, cinnamon, chocolate protein powder, truvia, white choc peanut butter

Next time I'd figure out a way to get more pb in with every bite, but it was good!

-part of a baked sweet potato with cottage cheese and sunflower seed butter topped with lots of cinnamonn, as usual (ate maaaybe 1/3?)
-water

I wasn't really hungry when I had this, but I tried to get a little bit down to have more than just popcorn for dinner lol
