August 31
Workout:
-7 min treadmill
-25ish min weights (chest & back)
-4 min treadmill
Only slept about 6 hours. Yep, still exhausted.
-half of an eng muffin sandwich (genesis eng muffin, sauteed spinach, egg white puff, red pepper goat cheese, grey poupon, touch of lox)
My Dad only wanted half of one, so I split it with him even though I really wanted a whole.
I also made a smoothie, but it sucked. I used NO sugar, but it was wayyy too sweet. It had a couple handfuls of blueberries, almond milk, half a scoop of protein powder, about 1/3 of a banana, and ice. 99% of it got poured down the drain. Boo.
Had I known, I would have just made a whole sandwich for myself. I was still hunnngry. And it set me up to eat too much the entire day.
After my brother and I watched True Blood (yay), I made a snack...
-large sliced apple
-1 maple flavored veggie sausage with a drizzle of maple on top
Again, I took a day off work to play with Kendyll with mi mama.
ugly (of moi), but sweet pic lol
LOL Reesie borrowed the baby doll's paci ;)
-half of the leftover pizza (about 1.5 slices) with marinara
-side salad (organic spinach, a few bites of the organic tomato, garlic gold nuggets, organic italian dressing)
-hazelnut coffee with a little hazelnut creamer
-more of the coffee
-small slice of Kendyll's leftover vanilla b-day cake that I added strawberries to
See, the strawberries TOTALLY make it healthy enough to justify eating while reading a health mag ;)
-one small corn tortilla topped with queso & salsa
-about 1/3-1/2 of a junior (aka smaller than a small) cup of vanilla custard
not that great, hence why I didn't finish
-"salad" (aka organic spinach with a drizzle of organic olive oil, organic balsamic, black pepper)
-3 oz of mushroom, basil, & spinach strogonoff
-water
I used my own combo of (mostly) salt-free seasonings for the strogonoff. Be careful, 'cause those pre-packaged seasonings will get you on the sodium. One little packet of 6 servings contains 21% of your maximum daily sodium limit. Yikes, that's OVER 100% in the whole packet. Creeepy.
-organic chocolate "pop tart"
not bad, but needed the frosting
Yeah, I pretty much just ate and ate, but I really was hungry. Hmm. Not right. And I'm sure all the sugar didn't help. But calorie wise, I still think I burned somewhere in the 250 ballpark more than I ate. Just going by quick math in my head, but I could be off...

Bag It
August 30
Workout:
-32 min elliptical
Only slept about 4 hours last nite. I stayed up all nite reading a barista livejournal to read the funny comments about them bitching about customers. I need a life, haha. I decided to wake up anyway, since the extra hour I'd be able to sleep max wouldn't be as helpful as getting my heart pumping! I felt pretty crappptastic or else I would have gone for the treadmill.
-small clean eating brownie waffle with a little white choc pb
-tiny egg white puff with a little red pepper goat cheese with a slice of smoked salmon on top
-iced coffee via
-leftovers from last nite (filet mignon, creamed corn, snap peas, mashed potatoes)
-half of a small sweet iced tea
I think the steak may have even been better leftover. That NEVER happens. =-o
-leftover cheesecake
-2 pieces of margherita pizza with marinara sauce
-water with lemon
After work, I "forced" my Dad to go to the movie grill with me to see a documentary, Bag It. It's about plastic, in particular plastic bags and other throw-away-after-one-use toxic, plastic items. Sounds mundane & hippy dippy trippy, but it was well done and entertaining. Very Morgan Spurlock-esque (aka the guy who did Super Size Me). They also had a couple people who work for the city in the litter & recycling departments do a brief talk after to tell a little bit about the grocery stores they are working with. It's one of the few movies I've seen recently that I haven't fallen asleep in, lol. Kind of ironic it's about plastic, while the others are highly action-packed, but 'tis the truth.
Although nearly everyone was drinking out of plastic straws throughout the movie (including the recycling lady, while she was giving her speech), my Dad and I seemed to be the only one who left with STYROFOAM to-go boxes. It was pretty embarrassing LOL.
-2 mini veggie corn dogs with lots of mustard
-water
Body Bugg Stats:
Calories Burned: 2,490
Steps Taken: 11,043
So far the week is going pretty good. MUCH faster already than last week. PHEW.

Perfect End to a Perfect Weekend
August 28
-Denny's new ultimate skillet sans sausage (spinach, fire-roasted peppers & onions, mushrooms, grape tomatoes, and seasoned red potatoes topped with egg whites)
-coffee with chocolate stevia
-water
UGH I could have killed my Dad. Sunday BREAKFAST has always been our thing. He didn't get home 'til LATE and we didn't eat 'til almost 3. Last Sunday we didn't eat 'til 1. I told him this is NOT happening again :-P.
-half of a chocolate cherry bomb protein smoothie (biggest loser chocolate protein powder, almond milk, hemp seeds, cocoa powder, frozen cherries, pinch of guar gum, pinch of xanthan gum, couple handfuls of ice)
Along with the waffle maker, we got a new blender. I always hated our old one and just waited for the day it would crap out. Thank God it did, our new one is amazzzzzzing. So long half-blended, ice-chunky smoothies. It's all smooooooth sailing from here. While I'm sure it's no vitamix, for the STEAL of $39 I am bowing down to GE. How they can make such amazing appliances for such bargains is beyond me. PRAISE THEM, mucho.
Went to III Forks for restaurant week. Mmm.
-bread & butter
-crawfish fritters with lemon juice (pretty good)
-glass of chardonnay (normally I hate chardonnay, but this was good-ish)
-she crab soup (wish I got the salad instead, not hot enough, and kinda flavorless, but it was OK, not bad)
-half a piece of filet mignon with a gargonzola sauce (good)
-half of the side dishes (mashed potatoes, creamed corn, snap peas) (amazeballs)
-glass of cabernet (good)
-water
-2-3 bites of strawberry cheesecake (ok, but I really only like cheesecake from cheesecake factory)
No idea HOW I forgot to take half the pics. Idiot!
The waiter said they also had an amazing white chocolate torte with white chocolate frosting and macadamia nuts. SIGN ME UP. Then, he comes to the table with 2 slices of cheesecake. WHAT? Nooo. Surprise, they were out of the torte. Just my luck. *pout*
At least I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
BTW this was my first steak (and red meat, really) in 6+ months. Not as good as I remember, but still good stuff. And the wine pairings were more than generous. But they did forget to come around with the fresh, sliced tomatoes & spring onions. Hmmm. Oh well. As long as I get the creamed corn, I leave with a smile.
Outfit of the Nite:
OK, OK, ENOUGH!
Workout:
-45 minutes treadmill
I was SUPER pumped and excited all day for the gym, but unfortunately we never made it. I decided I HAD to at least do the treadmill for 20 min to burn 200 cals. Met and WAY Exceeded. Score. I've officially worked out every Sunday in August.

Party, People.
August 28
Yay for no hangover.
Woke up reallllly hungry & excited to try out my new waffle maker. Too bad it never got hot. UGH. I spent forEVER making the batter, cleaning the machine meticulously, etc. all for naught.
-a few bites of my dad's leftover walmart sandwich with lotsss of mustard
-nasty tazo passion herbal iced tea
It tasted pretty good (shocker), but hurt my stomach :(. & good thing that tea was free, because blah. It would be OK as a hot tea, but iced it was just too overpowering.
Then, it was time for...
KENDYLL'S FIRST PARTY!
The apartment complex where my cousin booked the party told her, at the last second, that they had double booked and she was the one getting shafted. Not. Cool. They let us use the outside area, but it was hotttt. Still, it worked out and she got all her money back, so there's that.
There was food...
Presents...
Aunt Nancy Lovin'...
& can't forget a little cake smashing...
& then the birthday girl became long overdue for nap time and got a little grumpy
Party over, people! :-P
At the party I was excited for all the snacks, but my stomach felt too blah to really partake.
-1 baby carrot with ranch, a bite of enchilada dip
-water
Yep, I was extra gluttonous lol
Of course, right after we left was when I got hungry and really wanted some chip & dip action. Oh well. I had a few cheese cubes & wheat thins in the car. Not quite the same.
-2 clean eating brownie waffles with a little bit of white choc pb & a drizzle of maple syrup
-water
After the b-day party I went to Walmart to exchange the waffle iron & get my dog a present for her (15th!) b-day. Thankfully this one worked. Too bad the hem of the present ripped within 2 minutes for no reason. WTF, gotta get my moneyz back for that shizz asap. Ridiculoso!
Had dinner a little after 10 pm...
-english muffin veggie pizza (food for life genesis eng muffin, pizza sauce, roasted red pepper goat cheese, regular goat cheese, sauteed spinach, garlic gold nuggets, oregano, basil)
-side salad (organic spinach, organic tomato, goat cheese crumbles, garlic gold nuggets, organic olive oil, organic balsamic)
-pellegrino aranciata
So good. Love that healthy food is so tasty too. I want to eat it all over again right now.
